Diwali on the Square

DIWALI ON THE SQUARE 2026

A Festival of Lights, Culture, Community & Celebration!

Presented by Parivar Bay Area | San Francisco

Welcome to an evening of LIGHTS, CULTURE, MUSIC, DANCE, FOOD, COMMUNITY, and CELEBRATION!

Join ParivarBayArea for our inaugural Diwali on the Square, a vibrant celebration bringing together San Francisco's diverse communities to honor Diwali, the Festival of Lights, and celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, hope over despair, and unity over division.

This year is especially meaningful as Parivar Bay Area celebrates its new chapter as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and welcomes our community to our new home at St. Mark's Square and Urban Life Center in San Francisco.

A Celebration of Culture, Resilience & New Beginnings

Parivar Bay Area believes in creating spaces that uplift, connect, and empower communities across generations and cultures. As a Kinnar-Hijrah-led organization rooted in the experiences of South Asian and Indian, we are proud to expand our celebration to welcome immigrant families, seniors, youth, LGBTQ+ communities, allies, neighbors, and friends from all walks of life.

Diwali reminds us that even during our most difficult moments, light finds a way to return. As Parivar Bay Area rebuilds and reopens its doors, we invite everyone to celebrate resilience, renewal, belonging, and the power of community.
